Bheemanna Khandre Institute of Technology, Bhalki (Formerly known as Rural Engineering College, Bhalki) in Bidar district of Karnataka State, located at the northern tip of Karnataka established in September 1982 is one of the best engineering colleges not only in Karnataka but in whole of India. It has got complete characteristics of a Regional Engineering College where about 50% students are from Karnataka and the rest 50% are from all parts of India i.e. Bihar, Jharkhand, Delhi, UP, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam, Manipur, West Bengal, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh etc.

This college is Approved by AICTE, New Delhi; affiliated to VTU, Belgaum and sanctioned by Govt of Karnataka. Its various courses are accredited by NBA, AICTE, New Delhi.

The college has very magnificent building and good infrastructure featuring about 50,000 sq.m. builtup area, well equipped laboratories, workshops, drawing halls, seminar halls, big library having about 58,000 books and more than 1500 journals including e-subscribed, lecture halls, computer centre, departmental computer centres, browsing centres with broadband internet connectivity, 03 boys hostels accommodating about 700 boys and 02 girls hostels accommodating 350 girls, canteen, bank, gymnasium, sport facilities, Training & Placement Cell, NSS, Student Welfare Office, EDP Cell, STEP, Co-Operative store and Consultancy Cell etc.

The college assists students in Training & Placement activities. Our placement record is 80% for eligible students. Tilldate more than 7200 students have passed and are well placed in Government, Private and Public sector organizations in India and abroad and they are doing very well.

The institution is the chosen centre for satellite based education training programme through EDUSAT and VSAT by VTU & ISRO. The college also acts as a Monitoring Centre for "Mahiti Sindhu" a free computer education programme for Government High School students of Bidar District. The College runs the training programs for rural students sponsored by The Government Toolroom & Training Centre (GTTC). Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd., Government of India and Government of Karnataka have sanctioned Solar Energy Park at our college.

There is no Capitation Fee/Donation. There is complete transparency specially in admission. For meritorious students scoring more than 75% marks and above, fee concession/scholarship is provided. Similarly top rankers of Karnataka CET students, AIEEE as well as of other States Engineering Entrance Examination also get concession in college fees / scholarship.

  General Instructions :
  1. VTU Youth fest will start from 2nd November 2018.
  2. Last date for registration is 20-10-2018.
  3. Late entries are not acceptable.
  4. Participation from each college is restricted to 40 including team manager and accompanists.
  5. Registration fees of Rs. 2500/- upto 10 events. Additional Rs. 500/- for each event.
  6. DD should be drawn in the name of "The Principal BKIT" Payable at Bhalki, Dist. Bidar.

  8. Participants are requested to bring their respective college identity cards and 2 passport size (colour) photographs.
  9. The team manager should report at the central reception with the serially arranged identity cards and duly filled reporting forms.
  10. Only the team manager of the respective college will report and communicate at the central reception.
  11. Moderate accommodation and boarding will be provided to the participants and officials in our college buildings with a nominal charge of Rs 200/- per head. Participants are requested to carry their own locks and bed sheets.
  12. Teams are requested to bring their institution flags (2 Nos.) which will be displayed at the venue.
  13. Participants are requested to bring their own musical instruments, costumes and other required equipments, Drum kit will be provided at the venue.
  14. Team manager has to be senior faculty having minimum 5 years of experience/Physical Education director.
  15. Participants are responsible for their belongings.
  16. All the participants should report at the respective venue at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the event.
  17. Association of Indian University rules and eligibility criteria are strictly followed.
  18. Decision of the judges will be final.
  19. All events will be organized at BKIT campus, Bhalki, Dist. Bidar.
  20. Students of all the colleges are requested to maintain discipline during the fest.
  Code of conduct :
  1. All the registered participants should be present on time for their respective events.
  2. Students are requested to encourage the participants all the time.
  3. It is expected that the participant should follow the discipline code of conduct at any given time/place during the stay.
  4. Participants should be familiar with the rules and regulations of each event.
  5. Involving in unnecessary arguments/discussion/quarrel with the officials or organizers may lead to disqualification.
  6. Appeals if any may only be made to jury of appeals.
  7. Smoking and consuming alcohol is strictly prohibited.
  8. Students are expected to return to their respective barracks/hostels/rooms before 09:30pm.
  9. Students should carry their ID cards with them all the time.
  10. The team manager is requested to communicate the code of conduct as well as other information of the brochure to the participants.

Judgment and Appeals:The participants are requested to carefully study the rules and regulations for the various events. The decisions of the judges appointed for different events shall be final. In case of any dispute, the matter may be referred to the jury of appeals. The protests, if any should be lodged with the coordinator of the events within one hour of the respective event. No protest shall be entertained against the judgment thereafter. Protests can be entertained on matter relating to violation of rules or improper conduct during the contest. No protest shall lie against the decision of the jury of appeal.
